How The Legend of Zelda Began
The Legend of Zelda was initially an inspiration dreamt up by Shigeru Miyamoto. Once as a young boy he took it upon himself to venture into the secluded lakes, forests and woodland in his childhood town of Kyoto. Amongst one of his adventures a most memorable experience was enchanted upon when he discovered a cave in the middle of the woods he entered the cave with a lantern. This idea takes form for the original concept of discovering secrets and using items to aid forth in a quest. The name Zelda derives from F.Scott Fitzgerald’s wife called Zelda Mr Miyamoto liked the name and used it for The Legend of Zelda.
