Spin off Games and Appearances

Zelda Spin off Games

This section features some of the main games that have featured Link or Zelda and two all time favourite games starring the man who dresses like a fairy and made his first appearance in Majora's Mask Tingle.

Soul Calibur 2 - Gamecube

Soul Calibur 2 is a well respected fighting game from Namco and the first Adventure appeared on The Playstation I had the good fortune of playing this game and thought it was like Tekken with swords an excellent game so I was more than happy when I heard news that Soul Calibur 2 was coming to the three main home consoles at the time Nintendo's Gamecube, Microsoft's X-Box and Sony's Playstation 2. Each game was to feature their own unique character which was even more exciting news and the choice couldn't have been better for Nintendo Link is the playable character for The Gamecube version of Soul Calibur 2. He comes equipped with some of his signature items such as the master sword, bow and arrow, bombs.

Super Smash Bros

Ever since Nintendo launched the original Super Smash Bros on The Nintendo 64 Link from The Legend of Zelda has been a selectable playable character. The game has had a sequel for each system since The N64 also featuring on The Gamecube and more recently The Wii. I am a great fan of Link to choose because he has some of the best moves on the game using the Master Sword as his legendary blade. Also The Super Smash Bros games feature princess Zelda in her pink dress and under the guise of Sheik.

Tingle's Freshly Picked Rosey Rupeeland

This game must have been really underrated as it wasn't released in America and wasn't advertised very well. I got a copy off Ebay a few months back as it's becoming quite rare and collectable. The game is addictive and Rupees play a vital part as they act much like Tingle's energy for battles and also buying items or information off people. To quickly sum up the story Tingle is a 35 year old single man searching for happiness and he must earn enough rupees to heighten the tower so he can reach Rupeeland and join Uncle Rupee. I suggest that you get this game if you haven't played it, can be annoying at times when people take your rupees and expect even more but that's part of being a shrewd business man. Generally this is a rare little gem and should be given a chance I really enjoyed it!

Tingle's Balloon Fight

It's a classic Game and Watch game updated starring Tinlge as the playable character. It is your main duty to bop the other creatures balloons before they pop yours. A highly addictive game and if your a fan of Tingle you might want to try this one out however you will have to purchase it online since it was only released in Japan as part of The Nintendo Club with those whom obtained enough stars in the catalogue.

Other Zelda Adventures

There have been some really bad times for Nintendo and it couldn't have come worse for when they allowed The Philips CD-I to design Zelda games. They developed a trilogy of different Zelda titles that I think a rather best forgotten. They feature camp video clips and cartoon cut scenes that look like they belong from a Disney Flick. What were Nintendo thinking worst games in The Zelda history by far they don't even mention them.

I will take this section to introduce another camp quality in the form of a short animated series aired in the early 90's on breakfast time television in The UK Zelda had it's own cartoon series. I actually thought it was quite good at the time now looking back at it it's not so good and I can see why it didn't last that long. Maybe this is where Phillip's got their ideas from for some of their Zelda produced games.
